We just adore this proposal story (from the couple’s questionnaire):
“As Kaitlyn and Adam had previously been to Traverse City for winter weekend adventures, Adam set up another weekend away, hoping to disguise this as part of the tradition. That Saturday, Adam had researched a lighthouse that he planned to propose to Kaitlyn in the top tower, but as luck may have it, the lighthouse grounds were open but the tower was not. Improvising, Kaitlyn and Adam visited the grounds and a few local vineyards on their way back to the hotel. Adam knew proposing at the grounds would not be ideal since it was frigid and windy. After, Kaitlyn and Adam headed to lunch, a restaurant that caught their eye on the way to the lighthouse (Apache Grill). Coming in with no expectations, they sat down to lunch with a beautiful view of Grand Traverse Bay in the distance and were amazed by their perfect day thus far. After a late lunch, Adam took advantage of the picturesque moment and proposed to Kaitlyn. Immediately, the staff brought out champagne for the new couple to celebrate their engagement together. Knowing Kaitlyn’s need for constant communication, Adam had strategically scheduled a couple hours for Kaitlyn to call her closest family and friends to share the exciting news before they went to dinner to celebrate at their favorite restaurant from the last few times they had been there.”
And when they began planning their big day, they called us to capture every moment!
Carol Johnson of A’La Carol does it again! This day was stunning from start to finish! Kaitlyn enjoyed being pampered with her girls, we really love just how much fun she was having while slipping into her gown from Bianka Bridal! Meanwhile Adam suited up in his tux from Men’s Warehouse. We love the moment Kaitlyn has with her dad before he walks her down the aisle. And then Adam’s reaction to seeing his girl? Too cute!
The two had a beautiful outdoor ceremony at Felt Mansion, thanks to their officiant Lisa Seiwert. They exchanged vows and rings, and with a kiss they were married and ready to party! In their tent filled with twinkling lights, floral by Gina Masterka, and designed by Carol Johnson. The couple shared a sweet first dance, cut a delicious cake Bert’s Bakery, listened to toasts from loved ones, and danced the night away in the beautiful evening sun.
It was a gorgeous day and we are so honored you chose us to film it. Congratulations on forever!
