Here’s a little bit about how Jessica and Shaun got engaged (from the bride):
“Shaun and I share a lot of interests. Our families are extremely important to both of us and we spend a lot of time doing things with both our parents and our siblings. We spend our free time hanging out with friends, vacationing when possible, going out to dinner and enjoying some cocktails. Also, we both enjoy golfing and even though Shaun would disagree (I can kick his butt). Our job requires us to work a lot of long hours, so we value our free time when we get it and working the same job and hours makes it easy to understand.
Shaun and I dated for 3 years before he proposed to me on June 30th while we were up north with my extended family. He proposed to me along the marina in Manistee surrounded by his mom, sister, and all of my family. I could barely say yes I was crying so hard. We decided we wanted to have our wedding up north because we wanted to make a weekend of it where all our family and friends could be together and enjoy golf, wine, beaches of northern Michigan.”
And when they said their I do’s they invited us along to capture every moment!
The couple spent the morning getting ready in their favorite place, Northern Michigan. The girls got pampered by On-Site Bridal, and we just adored Jessica’s long waterfall curls. She slipped into her fitted trumpet style lace gown, her Badgley Mischka heels, and was ready to get to the aisle to see her man. meanwhile Shaun suited up in his navy suit with embroider french cuffs, nautical knot cuff-links, and our favorite part, his pocket watch!
The two had a lovely ceremony at St. Josephs. We just adore Shaun’s reaction to seeing Jessica walk down the aisle. The two said their vows, and exchanged rings, and before long they were on their way to Castle Farms for their reception! Petit Fleur did an amazing job with event design and floral. It looked perfect in our favorite sun filled room at Castle Farms. Guests were invited to eat delicious food by Grey Gables, listen to toasts, watch Jessica’s surprise first dance to a song chosen by her handsome groom, eat tasty treats from Cre8tive Cupcakes, and dance the night away thanks to A+ Entertainment.
We had a blast on their gorgeous day. Thanks so much for including us you two, and congratulations!
