Here is a little about the beautiful couple from their questionnaire:
“Their love started in Michigan but Eman had her guard up because she was about to travel to Europe for a month and move to NYC to complete a residency. Sammy was moving to Cincinnati, Ohio to begin his 5 year residency in radiology. She didn’t think Sammy would stick around for long. He was however the most persistent man she had ever met! He made a trip to New York at least once a month and their love grew in the city.
Sammy wanted to surprise Eman with a NYC rooftop proposal at her favorite lounge. It was on Mother’s Day weekend so her mom Nabiha, sister Hoda, and brother in law Jason were all visiting as well. They spent the gorgeous spring day roaming around central park and decided to head to Press rooftop lounge for some cocktails in the evening. A friendly New York man got into conversation with all of us and asked Sammy why he has yet to propose. Sammy got shy and shrugged his shoulders with a smile. Later in the night, we moved to the most perfect seat in the house with a gorgeous view of all of NYC. Our new friend came back to visit and asked if Sammy finally got the urge to propose. Sammy got down on one knee and made Eman the happiest lady in the world!!”
When they held their wedding reception, they invited us to capture every moment!
On a March day in Detroit, Eman and Sammy celebrated their love story. The day started for the girls at The Henry, where they were pampered and got their hair and make-up done for their big celebration. Meanwhile, the guys suited up across town. We just love Sammy’s navy fitted Ted Baker tuxedo!
It wasn’t long before Eman was slipping into her Ines Di Santo gown from Bella Bianca Bridal Couture, her sapphire necklace and earrings from Sammy’s mom, and her gold strappy Jimmy Choos. Soon after, everyone was off to Colony Club Detroit to get the party started!
The ballroom was absolutely gorgeous, with damask lighting, tall floral by Bellisario Florist, chandeliers, and great textured linens from Luxe Linens. There were crystals, candles, the most lush blue and white flowers, silver chargers, gold chiavari chairs… everything was simply perfect. The two entered and danced to drums and a phenomenal band, surrounded by loved ones they celebrated. Then, Eman and Sammy heard toasts from their siblings, cut their amazing cake by Pastry Guru: Jonathan Elias, and were back on the floor to dance the night away!
We adored every minute of this celebration, and we feel so lucky they chose us to capture it. Congratulations on forever you two!
