From the bride…
” Gaston and I met on eharmony! It was September 1st, 2013. I received his profile in my inbox. He was my match of the day. I told him that even if we didn’t hit it off, we couldn’t ever not be friends considering how much we had in common. Well…as it turns out we did hit it off and then some! We’ve been indivisible since then. In May, 2014, he took me to Italy and that’s when he proposed to me. We were in Sicily, my homeland. It was a Tuesday evening. We were out to dinner and right before dessert he got up from his seat, came towards me and got down on one knee. We were sitting under an orange tree and an orange fell on top of our table. The wait staff at the restaurant, who witnessed the orange falling on our table, told us that it was a symbol of good fortune. For our wedding, we decided to incorporate the orange fruit since it has now become symbolic to us.”
Silvia and Gaston’s Gatsby-esque wedding was so exciting to film. Lola Event Productions designed the celebration-the penthouse ballroom reception and glamorous Catholic ceremony are quintessential for this Chicago couple. Silvia’s Italian background and Gaston’s love of cultural experiences and of course, food made this wedding especially personal. The modern, elegant and sophisticated style of the wedding fit the sleek city scenes-you couldn’t help but feel like a VIP at this wedding. All the guests wore black or white, and kids of all ages were able to bust a move.
Good food, good music and classy sights; we couldn’t be more impressed. The city lights and amazing band made guests feel like it was the best party of their lives. The party didn’t stop, especially when lead by Larry Eckerling and the Momentum Band. Dancing and fun ensued, and Silvia looked gorgeous all night thanks to Chasing Vanity for her hair and makeup. We’re excited to see the photos from Hitch & Sparrow of this beautiful couple! Silvia and Gaston’s wedding was inspiring for many reasons-and we might just have to suggest including oranges in your floral arrangements (well done Artisan Flowers!) All in all we are so excited for Silvia and Gaston, congratulations on being married!
