Lizzy and Bucky’s cozy, fall outdoor wedding was personal, romantic, and oh-so-fun. A Day in May Events coordinated and designed this gorgeous wedding, and we are absolutely in love. Lizzy and Bucky especially chose their wedding to match them as a couple. Here’s how Lizzy described her wedding to us…
“It is going to have an outdoor, camp like feel. Fall is our favorite time of year, so it fits the style of our wedding. It is a big wedding but going to have a tight knit, small time feel. Everyone is staying together and that is what we wanted. Having all weekend is a bonus for us. We live far away from most of our family and old best friends, so this is a very special three to four days with them. We love to party and being all together should not make this an issue. I described it to someone the other day as summer camp, dirty dancing, bonfires, root-beer floats and lakeside… “
Lizzy and Bucky’s wedding was special for so many reasons, but most of all for the way they honored all of their loved ones. Bucky’s late mother was honored at the wedding in many ways; the couple even chose to have their “first look” at her grave. Emotions ran high, but the love ran deep. Having such an emotional encounter definitely added to the beauty of the entire day.
As far as wedding stats, we are happy to report that Epicure Catering did an amazing job filling the event with scrumptious food and dessert designs. Great pick guys! We also loved the designs by Field of Flowers who was the perfect florist for this natural country wedding. Lizzy’s gorgeous dress from Amanda’s Hyde Park Bridal looked magnificent amongst the beautiful scenery, and we must say she rocks it. Lizzy was glowing, and looked like an absolute princess! Her prince charming Bucky was not to be outdone of course, looking dashing in his tux from The Black Tux. This couple is absolutely perfect together-congratulations to Lizzy and Bucky!
