Well if you live in Michigan, you’ll know by looking out the window that we received over 12 inches of snow last night, and its still coming down. So I thought It would be fun to warm this cold snowy day with a warm fire and share it with you!
Here is a free video download of a fire I recorded that you can use as a desktop background. I’m not sure if Mac’s can use video as a “wallpaper” for your computer screen, but I know its pretty easy to do in Vista.
Here is a higer quality version for Vista (WMV file): NOTE: to download this file, right click on the link and choose “Save Target As” or “Save Link As” to save the file to your computer: /tv/fire.wmv
Here is a smaller MPEG version of the video: /tv/fire.mpg
Enjoy!
UPDATE: Vista Ulimate is the only version that come with video desktops as a pre-installed feature. To set it as a desktop using other versions of windows, you need to download this free program here: http://www.download.com/VLC-Media-Player/3000-13632_4-10267151.html
