A love story for the ages, and it started on AOL IM. hahahaha!!
From the bride, Morgan:
"I moved to Michigan from Arizona when I was 10 and started going to Saint Joseph schools. I was the new girl and didn't know anyone. Fast forward 6 months, my mom bought a house in Stevensville and I would be moving to Lakeshore (St. Joe's rival school). After moving, I started getting instant messages from this boy names Matt who went to St Joe. I didn't know who he was because he was in a different class and I didn't stay at St. Joseph very long. To be honest, I thought he was pretty weird at first but it didn't take long for us to become best friends. I used to go home from school excited because I knew I would spend the night talking to him. In middle school/ high school we would talk for 4+ hours on the phone about anything and everything. As we got older, we weren't as close but still remained friends. We went to different colleges (CMU for me and MSU for Matt). One weekend I was visiting a friend at MSU and called Matt to tell him I'd be in town. After that weekend, the rest was history ...and we got engaged 7 years later. Finally!!"
Morgan and Matt were so sweet and we loved every moment of their Hidden Vineyard Wedding Barn event!
It was seriously perfect weather at Hidden Vineyard Wedding Barn. Morgan and her best friends got ready in the bridal suite in the morning while Matt and the guys helped with table numbers, decor, and then suited up in his Men's Wearhouse suit for his first look with Morgan. Morgan's mom helped her slip into her gown by Made with Love - she looked so beautiful as she read her letter to Matt at their first look under the trees.
The two had an adorable ceremony under the flower covered tree at Hidden Vineyard Wedding Barn. The two planted a small tree during the ceremony. Morgan's dad brought dirt from her childhood home in Arizona and Matt gathered dirt from his parents home. By planting the tree with this soil, they began growing family roots together (dirt). They then planted the little tree at their new home. SO sweet!
The reception in the barn was so beautiful! Guests enjoyed drinks on the porch and corn-hole out back. The tables were adorable adorned with acrylic table number, and floral by Tara Florist. Morgan and Matt entered their reception, enjoyed toasts from loved ones, munched on amazing food from Piggin n Grinnin, had sweet cupcakes by Kaylee's Kreations, and danced the night away thanks to the sounds of Lake Effect DJ.
The whole day was so amazing - the evening sun and sunset photos with 430 Studios was the perfect way for us to end the day before leaving Morgan and Matt to dance the night away. We wish you two all the best on your adventure in marriage. Congratulations on forever!
