These two fell in love at Fresh on Grand Valley's Campus and Leah describes it perfectly:
"We met at Grand Valley State University at a party in August 2012. Months after meeting, we both kept running into each other at Fresh on Grand Valley's campus on Tuesdays before both of our 6-9's. Week after week of seeing each other casually, we decided to eat together which is where our friendship blossomed. Before too long our friendship began rapidly growing and eventually evolving into more of a relationship. Dating felt so natural with such a strong friendship as our foundation. "
A few years later the two took a spontaneous trip to Traverse City:
"During a spontaneous trip up to Traverse City in June 2017, we camped in our car, rented bikes and explored all Northern Michigan has to offer. On the evening of June 11th, we drove up Old Mission Peninsula for dinner at Jolly Pumpkin followed by a sunset picnic with delicious Cherry wine on the beach.
Sitting out on the beach, sipping wine and looking out at Lake Michigan in the evening sun, Nick asked me to stand up and walk closer to the water with him. A nearby drone kept me preoccupied of any clues of what was about to happen. When Nick finally got my attention and I came into realization of what was happening, that moment became a complete blur. He got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of our lives adventuring with him (at least I think he did). As I thought we were alone for this moment on the beach at Old Mission Lighthouse, out popped the photographers who were capturing every second leading up to the big moment. "
That's also why they chose Traverse City to get married. So when they invited us to capture their Aurora Cellars wedding we were over the moon to be included.
The day started with all of their closest friends and family. Leah got her hair and make-up done by Alissa Levandoski before slipping into her high neck lace gown. Meanwhile, Nick and his buddies suited up before heading to Aurora Cellars for their ceremony under the big beautiful willow tree.
Now, Leah's first look with her dad sure was cute, but Nick's reaction to seeing Leah walk down the aisle? Heart.Melted. So sweet!!! The two shared vows and a kiss, and before long they were Mr. and Mrs.
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed an outdoor cocktail hour, with amazing local sips, and yard games. The reception tent was filled with farm tables and covered in garlands of hops and eucalyptus thanks to IndieGrow.
Leah + Nick entered their reception and cut their adorable dripped and semi-naked cake by Baked by Josephine. They shared their first dance, and then dances with their parents to open the dance floor and dance the night away thanks to the sounds of 2Bays DJs.
We hope your life is filled with endless adventure and love.
Congratulations on forever, you two!
