This summer is flying by so fast! We’ve had a busy season and we couldn’t be happier! Having the opportunity to meet amazing couples and capture all of their wedding day memories…talk about a dream job! Today we are sharing the love story between Erika and Rodney. Curious how these two came to be? Check out what they shared in their questionnaire with us:
“We started working together at Erika's Family restaurant. After work on Thursdays, we would both stay for Karaoke. We bonded over our love for singing! But at that point, we did not become more than just friends. Three years later the family opened another restaurant. We were the only two that moved to the new location and we grew closer because of it. We had many more karaoke nights from that point on...10 years later, we are getting married!”
Jen Warner Hair helped prepare Erika and her girls for the day and wow were they stunning! Rodney was handsome as ever in his Military Dress Blues (Rodney has been in the service for 14 years, Marine Corps and Army National Guard). Their ceremony was held at the St. Pius X Catholic Church in Grandville, MI and then everyone headed over to the Black River Barn in South Haven, MI, which made the perfect backdrop for their classic and elegant reception. The whole room was full gorgeous white and green florals planned by Modern Day Collective, who can also take credit as event planners extraordinaire for this beautiful wedding. The delicious meal was from the Martha’s Catering, the simple yet elegant three-tiered cutting cake was provided by Cakabakery and the dessert cupcakes were from Delights Bakery. Moments in Time provided a ton of fun as the DJ for the night and we enjoyed working alongside the talented Mae Photo Co.
We had such a wonderful day with Erika and Rodney. Congratulations on a lifetime of love you two!
