From meeting in North Carolina in 2016 to dating long distance between Illinois and Ohio to moving to Florida together in 2019, Jane and John have experienced a lot together! A fantastic friendship blossomed into a beautiful romance that carried them through the years and brought them to June 26th, 2021 – their wedding day on the historic Mackinac Island.
Every single wedding that we have the honor to capture is memorable – whether in a barn, by the beach or in a backyard. But the opportunity to ferry over and film a wedding at one of the most unique destinations in the state of Michigan was a day we won’t forget! Mackinac Island is a very special place to both Jane and John and where they dreamed of having their wedding. It’s also where they got engaged! Jane grew up traveling north every year and John and his family traveled to the island often as well. The unmatched beauty and uniqueness of the island provided such a unique backdrop and they were so excited to share their love for this place with all of their family and friends.Jane wanted to create a day that was intimate, elegant and fun. From the ceremony that took place in the stunning St. Anne's Catholic Church to the reception under the tent lights at the Mackinac Island Yacht Club, their wedding was magical! Jane was absolutely gorgeous in her Mikaella wedding dress from Classic Bride Formals and her bridesmaids’ flowing blush gowns were simply stunning. John and his groomsmen were a group of fine-looking men in their tuxedoes from The Black Tux. The white, pink and blush florals against navy accents at their reception provided a romantic ambiance and even though the clouds dropped a bit of rain, their love was shining bright all day…nothing could have stopped this amazing couple from having the time of their lives. It was also a pleasure working with Mackinac Island based photographers McCoy Made.
Jane and John – thank you for allowing us to spend the day with you. We wish you a lifetime of happiness and many more memories made on Mackinac Island together!
