Let’s learn a little about how these two came to be (from Kelsey):
“We first met in college in 2010… Jeff and I had become friends during our study abroad trip to France and through playing basketball at K College. Over the years, we all developed a great friendship. It wasn’t until 5 years after Tim and I met that we eventually became more than friends.
In 2015, I was living in Chicago attending graduate school and Tim was teaching in Kalamazoo. A mutual friend was getting married around that time which kickstarted us spending more time together. We were essentially “set up” by one of the groomsman in the wedding who lead us see more than just a friendship in one another. I initially had a lot of reservations about dating a good friend, but Tim was a true gentleman and one of the nicest, most genuine, and hilarious guys I knew. I loved every moment with him and the more time we spent together, the more our relationship continued to grow undeniably stronger.
On 4th of July, we attended a family barbecue and set out to see fireworks later that night. While sitting in the bed of Tim’s truck under the stars and fireworks, Tim said, “this is perfect.” A moment went by and I responded, “would it be more perfect if I was your girlfriend?”
Two years later, Tim proposed and the two started their journey of planning a wedding in Kalamazoo! When it came to wedding videography they chose us, and we’re so thankful they did! We can not wait to share their film with you:
First of all, can we talk about the cape Kelsey wore for her ceremony at St. Thomas More Catholic Parish?? Such a dream. She them switched it out for beaded cap sleeves for the reception. Kelsey looked amazing with side swept hair in her Willowby by Watters gown from B. Ella Bridal Company. And of course, not to be outdone, Tim wore a white smoking jacket with black lapels, and the two looked fabulous together.
We just love love love their art deco feel of their whole day. The Loft 310 was the perfect backdrop for this black, ivory, and gold reception full of big palm leaves. With fun details like their jersey and basketball guestbook to that cake by The Baker’s Rhapsody, everything was stunning! The two enjoyed toasts, cutting the cake, and dancing the night away with their favorite people.
We wish you all the best in your marriage, Kelsey and Tim! Congratulations on forever!
