Elizabeth + Kelli have had a whirlwind adventure romance. Like, it has literally taken them all over the world! Here’s a little more of their story Elizabeth told us on their questionnaire:
“Kelli and I met each other in the fall of 2013. I had already been living and working abroad, teaching at an American school in Kuwait. At the beginning of my second year of teaching, there was a group of newly hired teachers, and Kelli was one of them. She caught my eye from day 1 and gave me the biggest butterflies anytime I was around her. After several months of hiding my feelings, we finally connected and started dating in the spring of 2014!
After leaving Kuwait and moving to Beijing together to start the 2016/2017 school year, we knew we wanted to get married. During a school break in February 2017 we traveled to Malaysia and thought about getting engaged during the trip. Since we are both girls we didn’t feel the need for one or the other to propose, so instead we picked a date and planned a few special things, like a hot air balloon ride. We each prepared a ‘proposal speech’ that we said to each other, and that was it! We announced to our friends and family that we were engaged, and shortly thereafter got ring tattoos onto our ring fingers (we aren’t so traditional, after all!)”
When they set the date and made it official, they invited us along to capture their day! We’re so thrilled they did.
Golden Sands Golf & Bucket Bar was the perfect backdrop, and despite rain the two made the most of their outside tented wedding. With floral by Ludemas the tent looked beautiful, (and we loved their bouquet and boutonniere too)… Throw in rentals from Statewide Party Rentals, a cake by Ryke’s, and music by Valentiger; not only was their day beautiful (seriously wait until you hear their vows), but it was full of fun, friends, and family. These two were all smiles all day!
We can’t wait to see what life has in store for you two! Congratulations on a lifetime of love and adventures!
