This is a story all about how (I bet you said that to the tune of Will Smith, didn't you?) Danielle and Dane came to be, thanks to Danielle's older sister, Kaitlyn, who's wedding we captured two years ago at Felt Mansion.
From their questionnaire:
"We met shortly after college graduation in 2013 when both of us were hired as interns at the same company in Kalamazoo. Dane had been working there since January and just happened to work alongside Danielle's older sister, Kaitlyn. As part of his internship, Dane would be spending the summer in Nebraska working at the office in Lincoln. Shortly before leaving to go to Nebraska, Dane learned that another intern would be joining him. That intern was Kailyn's younger sister, Danielle. Kaitlyn decided it would be nice for Dane and Danielle to meet before they both left for Nebraska so we decided we would all have breakfast together at Theo & Stacy's in Kalamazoo on May 12th, 2013. When first introduced, Dane went to shake Danielle's hand, but she quickly gave him a hug saying "we're going to be great friends!" As it turned out, we spent the entire summer together in Lincoln and did fact become great friends..."
From friends to dating, dating to big cross country moves, to moving in and becoming roommates, and then fiances; the two decided to tie the knot at Fredrick Meijer Gardens, and when they asked us to come capture the day we were thrilled!
Thanks to the phenomenal planning and design by Carol Johnson this wedding was flawless. We're not sure if you have seen the events room at the Meijer Gardens, but we can say you've never ever seen it like this before! With flawless pipe and drape that covered not only the walls but created a tent-like canopy above and lighting by ARIA Show Technology, floral by the Modern Day Events & Floral, a delicious cake and catering by Gilmore Catering, and one crazy dance party thanks to Stitely Orchestra, this day was an absolute dream!
As always, we loved working alongside Karyn May Photography to capture all of the moments of the day big and small. From the bride's gorgeous details, to groomsmen shenanigans, to photo-session in the Japanese Gardens, and ending with a crazy, streamer-filled end of the night; the whole day was stunning and fun, and full of people we have had the honor to work with before.
Can we do it all again?! Congratulations on becoming Mr. & Mrs. you two!
