On a beautiful and chilly day in October at Black Star Farms, Maggie + Alain were wed, and they invited us along to capture every moment.
Maggie and her bridesmaids started the day getting pampered by the team from Pavlova Salon and Spa before Maggie slipped into her lace gown from Vera’s Bridal and sparkly Jimmy Choos. Meanwhile, Alain hung out with his groomsmen and put on his tux from Kalamazoo Custom Tailoring. The two met at the alter, which was covered in fall floral. The ceremony had mums, crates, and all things fall. Field of Flowers did a flawless job on the floral for the day. The two exchanged vows and rings, and before we knew it they kissed and were on their way to their reception in the barn!
The barn was covered in lanterns, lace table clothes, wooden lanterns, and sweet floral. One of our favorite parts of the day were the couple’s cakes! Alain had a killer groom cake by Aunt B’s Cakes and Desserts. Alain is a general and bariatric surgeon, if that helps you get why. 😉 The two entered their reception with a lebanese Zaffe, enjoyed toasts from their loved ones, cut their cake, and danced the night away officially as husband and wife.
Thanks so much for bringing us up north to capture your big day, you two, we loved every minute!
