Here’s a little bit about how these two became engaged:
“After about a year and a half of dating we became engaged. I have horses and his original proposal plan included a Monday night trail ride with a proposal. It ended up being a rainy day and I cancelled not knowing that he planned a romantic night/proposal. We were leaving for a trip to Mackinac Island on Wednesday that week. The trip included a ton of golfing. Tyler decided to buy me my very first set of golf clubs for the trip and hide the engagement ring in one of the pockets. Needless to say, I said YES!!!”
Then, the two started planning their big day and invites us to capture it!
The day began at The Edgewater Inn in Charlevoix, where the girls got their hair and make-up done, laughed, and enjoyed a few drinks. Meanwhile the boys hung out, watched ESPN, and had lunch before getting into their tuxes from The Tux Shop in Birmingham, MI. Jessica wore a gorgeous lace covered gown, which she got at Gina’s Bridal in Milford MI. Our favorite part? The inside of her dress had a blue heart as her something blue, made from her dad’s shirt! Adorable. Jessica also wore some great peep toe pumps by Nina, and some fabulous chandelier earrings.
The couple was married outside at Castle Farms, with white chairs adorned with blue satin sashes. Tyler had the sweetest reaction to seeing his bride, it was too perfect. After the two said their vows and exchanged rings, they kissed and made their way to their reception. Inside the venue were sprakley table numbers, gorgeous white floral arrangements by A.R. Pontius, a ribbon chandelier above the dance floor, and a stunning cake covered in hydrangeas by Kinglsey Cakes. The couple ate a fabulous dinner catered by Grey Gables Catering, heard toasts from loved ones, and then danced the night away with all of their guests thanks to DJ Ryan Rousseau. Our favorite part of their dance party? When Jessica and Tyler’s dads came out in the light up sneakers, so fun!
We’re so thankful these two included us in their big day. Congratulations on forever!
