Danielle describes John as easy going, sensitive, considerate, understanding, independent, and optimistic. John describes Danielle as high energy, sensitive, shy, detail oriented, silly, caring, and rebellious… together the two have been together for ten years, and are high school sweet hearts who are finally together forever after many years as a long distance couple.
This rainy day started at The Amway Grand Plaza Hotel, where the girls drank mimosas and got their make-up and hair done before Danielle slipped into her stunning in her lace gown and Nine West peep toe flats. Meanwhile, across the hotel, John and his groomsmen suited up in their tuxes.
The two said their vows at Basilica of St. Adalbert, a gorgeous church in Grand Rapids. Danielle had a moment to have an adorable first look with her father, something we think every bride should consider. *wink* As the two walked down the aisle, John got teary eyed seeing his future wife for the first time. After the two said their vows, they kissed and made their way out of the church toa horse drawn carriage, from Classic Carriage LLC, waiting to take them back across town to their reception in the Imperial Ballroom at The Amway Grand Plaza Hotel.
Events by I Candy truly outdid themselves with floral centerpieces filled with blush roses and peonies, gold charges, and crystal votives,. We also loved the great textured linens from RSVP Events! Danielle and John entered their reception, heard thoughtful toasts, had a sweet first dance, and a hilarious cake smash all before they too much fun on the dance floor with their closest friends and family. The two ended the night with a lantern release on the iconic Grand Rapids blue bridge, a perfect ending to a beautiful day.
We feel so lucky these two included us in their big day,
and we wish them all the best in their new adventure in marriage.
