Hey Guys, Rebecca Here! I had the opportunity to attend The Bloom Workshop at Bieker Farms on May 28th and I wanted to take a minute to tell you all about it.
From The Bloom website:
“The Bloom Workshop was designed for creative women who are eager to learn about blogging, social media, photography, interior design and styling. Our goal is to share our knowledge on how each of these topics work together to take your blog or business to the next level. Bloom’s mission is to help fuel women’s creative passions, establish authentic community and help each attendee feel confident in their small business or blog. With special sessions on the specifics of blogging, social media best practices, design, styling and photography, a styled photo shoot to practice the skills you just learned, and a Q&A session with a panel of experts, we created this workshop just for you.”
My reaction: “Uhm, count me in!”
The morning started with a lot of networking with local creatives, a yummy breakfast, and so much amazing information on marketing your small business! From blogging, to social media… from when to post, where, and what you can be doing to improve your company, it showed me a lot! One of those things is for sure, and that is that we’ve been slacking a little bit over here at Coastline, and that if you have seen an increase in our use of social media, it’s because we love you, we love weddings, and we want to share even more about what we’re up to!
After a morning full of lectures that were just the right length, we broke for lunch. The group met for a run down from Ashley on the basics of photography and how to get the most out of your DSLR camera. Following, Michaela gave a great talk on design, and how to create the perfect concept for a style shoot. Then, we were off to the orchard for everyone to get a hands on experience with a styled shoot. There, they received one on one help with photography and styling questions, and got to try out all the tips and tricks they had just learned.
The day ended with an amazing panel of successful bloggers, answering all the questions you could think of on how to run a successful blog.
From amazing swag bags, incredibly helpful tips & tricks, to hands on experience, networking with phenomenal local creatives, and beyond, I had so much fun at Bloom. I can’t recommend it enough! If you’re a blogger, photographer, florist, designer, or you own a small business this is the perfect place to learn how to grow you clientele, business, and social media platforms.
