Meghan and John’s cozy and intimate wedding left us wanting to snuggle up to a summer fire! The Homestead Resort was the perfect place to comfortably host their intimate group of 90 close family and friends. The girls and guys got ready in separate houses at the resort and guests were travelled to the ceremony by ski lift. At the top, the breathtaking of views of Lake Michigan posed as a gorgeous backdrop for their ceremony. The Homestead Resort has many reception locations and Meghan and John chose Camp Firefly. The space allowed for guests to drink, dance, and enjoy beautiful indoor and outdoor fireplaces. The warm atmosphere and gorgeous greens made for beautiful memories and photos.
Meghan’s classic strapless dress and smooth up-do complimented John’s classic tux perfectly. The whites and greens decorating the hall lit up the already gorgeous space (pinspiration anyone?) The chairs and rentals from Sweet Themes glammed-up their reception, and their gorgeous white cake from Sweet Baby Cakes was the perfect amount of tradition. During the evening, guests were able to dine to the sweet tunes of Jetty Rae and laugh the night away. We definitely have some envy going on here-who wouldn’t want to have Jetty perform at their wedding!? We will be on the lookout for more warm, camp styled weddings, but for now, we know how lucky we were to be included in this spectacular day!
