The day Christie and Gershon met, it was a celebration; a New Years Eve party in fact! They describe being attracted to how they each carried themselves, as well as their amazing dance skills. This pivotal moment that began their story was book-ended with much of the same celebration, only instead of celebrating a new year, they celebrated a new life together! Dancing was a huge part of both the entertainment and reception at their wedding. A dance group representing the Burundian community brought the party with their traditional dance. All of their guests were able to get into it as well; showing off creative moves and celebrating the uniting of Christie and Gershon in marriage.
The traditional wedding aspects of their day went off without a hitch. Christie looked absolutely beautiful wearing a gorgeous ruffled dress from David’s Bridal. Not to be outdone by his stunning bride, Gershon took on the day looking sharp in a tux from Men’s Wearhouse. Cake was lovingly shared between the couple, but not before the creation by Nantucket Baking Company was photographed by Holli Ann VanderVeen. Guests enjoyed a scrumptious dinner by Martha’s Catering, and were able to congratulate the beautiful couple all night long. Thank you so much Christie and Gershon for sharing your fun filled day with us! We wish you a happy marriage full of love, laughter and of course, dancing.
