Emily and Mark have such a beautiful love, and when it was complemented by the backdrop of the lake and ski lifts swinging in the wind, it was simply pure magic.

Here’s how they met:
“A. They were set up on a blind date that was orchestrated by one of Mark’s friends and Emily’s sister. It was both of their first dates. They met at Bonefish grill. The second date was to watch a Purdue & MSU basketball game…. Mark lost a bet (he went to MSU and Emily went to Purdue) and had to cook dinner for their third date. Shortly after the third date, they pretty much spent everyday together… 2 years later they got engaged on Schuss Mountain in northern Michigan.”
The boys spend the morning playing a round of golf at the Homestead, with a fun twist… a game of “Beat the Father in Law!” haha. So cute! Meanwhile, the girls pampered themselves at a nearby home before Emily slipped into her stunning lace gown with a beautiful key-hole back.
Following the preparation, they had a gorgeous ceremony overlooking the lake on top of a ski-hill! Guests even had to be ski-lifted up to the site! The view was epic and they escaped the rain! After words, Emily + Mark were whisked away and got a sweet moment alone together on their getaway chairlift.
Then, the two celebrated with all of their closest friends and family… and of course wine and delicious appetizers. The drink menu also inspired their wine-themed decor with flowers by Pam DeVol. They had a beautiful display of loved ones, and after their first dance the couple lip-synced to each other, something we have never seen before, and they had so much fun together! Everyone devoured little cupcakes, used the props and jumped in the photobooth (from Mi Photobooth) and then danced the night away to the stylings of Mr. Music Disc Jockey Services.
