From the Bride:
“One afternoon when I was at work, my mom called to tell me her neighbor and dear friend, Becky Denton, had someone she thought I should meet back in Michigan. I was initially skeptical, but finally agreed she could share my email address with her friend’s nephew, Chris Riker.
After many emails back and forth, which eventually led to several phone conversations, Chris said he would like to take me out for dinner when I was back in Michigan sometime visiting my family. I had already made plans to travel home in late February so that I could discuss with my parents my plans to completely change my career direction. So, a date was set and Chris drove from Kalamazoo to Grand Rapids in a snowstorm to take me out for our first date. This handsome guy walked into my parent’s home and I didn’t waste any time giving him a hug! We were both a little nervous, but as the evening continued on, our conversation became so easy and I found myself truly enjoying the company of this charming gentleman. I hoped we would see each other again…we did…and the rest is history!”
Oh a beautiful day in August, in a cute church adorned with blue hydrangeas, Lindsey + Chris decided on forever.
After a morning getting pampered by Brooke DeVries and team, and getting their make-up done by Hanna Wagner, Lindsey and her girls were whisked away to Mayflower Congregational Church to slip into their gowns. Soon after Chris arrived to see his beautiful bride for the first time, and his reaction was oh-so sweet.
Later the couple and all of their family and friends gathered at Kent Country Club, for the most elegant reception. With shades of blue and white, amazing floral by Carol Geskus graced the tops of every table. The couple devoured the most delicious blueberry cheesecakes, and danced the night away to tunes from Chateau!
Congratulations you two! We wish you nothing but the best!
