Meghan and Matt were an absolute blast to spend the day with, and their private beach ceremony was so special that their personal vows made us swoon!
The couple accented their radiant love with adorable nautical accents (I mean, come on, did you see her dad’s pants?! How fun!), and spent the evening dancing under a tented reception (from Tents and Events of West Michigan) with all of their loved ones, and let us tell you, these two know how to party!
We loved their striped linens, mapped monograms, and custom coozies. Plus, their cupcakes by Sweet Mellisa’s Cupcakes were to die for! Yum! And, of course, we can’t forget their lovely, fresh floral from Beads and Blooms – what can we say, we have a sweet spot for calla lilies, and they fit into their nautical decor delightfully.
Here is the background on their adorable, family cottage – turned wedding venue, and Meghan’s dad’s awesome pants!
Meghan’s family built the cottage (in 1968) where our ceremony and reception will both be held and it is the most special place on earth to us. Little things in the house such as photos, old skis, the furniture, the property itself, the view, are all things that we dream about all winter long. The pants that my dad is wearing in the wedding are pants that he has worn there only in Pentwater for the last 45+ years and with our theme being “vintage/nautical”, those pants are a special part in our wedding!
And for any of you brides swooning over this couple’s beachy bliss, and are planning some Nautical Nuptials of your own, make sure you check out our Pinterest for all of your bridal musings!
