After a 12 year relationship, Kristen and Jatin had a vacation in Paris and it started the rest of their journey to their magical day…
They had a beautiful winter wedding done by RSVP Events that included fresh flowers by Gumina Flowers and beautiful manzantia branch centerpieces! They also ate a delicious cake from Cascade Confections, and had a stunning traditional ceremony before they danced the night away.
Here’s how the Kristen told their proposal story:
“We decided to take a trip again in the spring, as we usually did. This time, we decided to go to Paris. A city full of history and things to see, but also a romantic place we wanted to visit together at least once. He booked us in a cute boutique hotel near the Sorbonne. Daily we’d walk the city until we could walk no more. We were in love with the city and with each other. One day at the Eiffel Tower, he asked me whether he should propose there some time and I quickly said no. I told him I always envisioned it being much more intimate … perhaps a small, dimly lit cafe. We rested after a long day out and decided to head out for dinner. Wandering, we stumbled upon a little restaurant down a back alley, a French fondue restaurant. We sat down for a fabulous dinner and a bottle of wine. We both chatted about our day, our trip and ultimately it turned into a discussion about what we loved so much about each other and our families. He had told me later that he only wanted to propose when he knew it was the right time. Apparently it was at that time that it hit him. Unexpectedly, he dropped down to one knee and asked me there, in Paris … in a small, dimly lit restaurant over a bottle of wine.”
