Ok, ok, so I know not blogging is like breaking the unspoken photographer / videographer’s rule #1… but what can I say?  I’ve been busy!  Doing what you might ask?  Well… I’ll save that for my next post (which will be soon :))  But for now, I feel I owe it to any of you out there who might still be following my blog a fun video.  I’m hoping it will make up for my silence and bring a smile to your face!

But before I get to the video, I must bring you up to speed on this past weekend.  Many of you who follow me on Twitter and Facebook know I was shooting a wedding (Videography) in Connecticut and we had quite an adventure.  I was privaleged to not only shoot along side Holly Henderson, but also caravan out with her and her husband Corey. (Incidentally I owe Holly for even getting this gig.  Thanks Holly!)

So as you might guess, the trek out to the East Coast was a rather long one… 14+ hours in fact.  So what is a videographer to do to keep entertained along the way?  Well, make videos of course!

I had grand dreams of making a fun documentary of the trip out, but alas my crew was not available until late Friday and flew out the night before the wedding… so I drove to CT alone… well sorta.  Holly and Corey met up with me in Ohio and Holly rode shot-gun for a few hours which really helped make the time go by.  Afterwards though, I resurrected my old reliable “Walkie-Talkies” and we kept things entertaining for the rest of the trip with those.  But I digress…

Since I was driving alone on the way out to CT I decided it wasn’t really that safe to film and drive at the same time, so I elected to wait and do something fun on the way back home… thus the video below.  : )  It was shot using my Nikon D90 all with Fisheye.

And… Just because I’m “nerdy like that” here are some random stats about the entire trip that some will find fascinating, while others may not care…  I guess I’ll risk it. : )

OVERALL MPG (with a Jeep V8 mind you): 17.8 mpg (Not bad for a V8 SUV!)

Ok.. ok.. enough with the boring stats… on with the video!  Bonjour!

P.S. Stay tuned for more on this wedding.  Some amazing stories and shots coming soon!
